The seventh issue of the magazine explores the symbolism of the number seven through the theme of archetypes in art. Projects by emerging artists, an interview with the Ticino-based artist Lucas Herzig, and the collaboration with curator Carolina Sanchez offer a glimpse into research, memory, identity, and new visions in contemporary art.

The sixth issue of the magazine explores the theme of symbiosis, weaving together memories, inner journeys, and lived spaces. Through the works and visions of the artists, the issue tells personal stories and fragments of life that intersect through research, relationships, and creativity.

The fifth issue explores how boundaries, both physical and psychological, shape our lives and our experience of art. Artists from around the world reflect on limits and push creativity beyond the familiar.

The fourth issue marks the first steps toward a more structured publication and the development of editorial content. For the first time, the magazine featured university students through a special insert, included a text generated by artificial intelligence (before ChatGPT had even been released), and introduced a central theme along with interviews. A radical shift that not only highlights the artists, but above all marks an evolution for the magazine, a vision that would continue to shape the issues that followed.

A publication that merges digital and print media: the magazine is printed on newsprint paper, and augmented content can be viewed inside it through the use of a smartphone. For each artist, readers can scan the page with their phone’s camera to access videos and animations: self-destructing pages, stop motion, creative processes, and trailers. As of today, no copies are available for sale anymore.

In 2020, the global pandemic unfortunately slowed down the publication process and prevented its distribution. This issue features young artists from Ticino, including photographers, musicians, illustrators, dancers, and graphic designers. A publication that differs from the previous issue due to the restrictions imposed at the time.

This publication defines the magazine’s creative and artistic direction. The first issue of where flowers bloom was produced entirely by hand, from the cover to the binding. Each hand-numbered copy is one of a kind, featuring six artists from different disciplines. Once all copies were sold out, no further reprints were made.
